It's High Time....
Well, let's just say my blogging has been on a little break. It's not that I don't think about it b/c I do. Many mornings when we are out for our morning walk, I think of so many things to write about. However, I have not been on a walk in days as a result of our recent trip to Houston, the city not the baby. It was Aaron's granddad's 84th birthday. Aaron's mom is the 2nd oldest of 7 children. Her given name is Beverly Lynn Ralston, but she goes by Lynn. Her boys often affectionately call her "Sister Beverly". Gordon is the oldest, then came right after Lynn, then Sam who is a Dr. in Waco, then Eileen, then Teresa followed by Billy. All of Lynn's siblings live in Houston with the exception of Sam as previously mentioned. Laura and Eileen followed their mother Patsy into the world of residential Real Estate Sales and Teresa teaches high school. I believe Gordon is retired and Billy is a Director of Photography. Just two days before our wedding Wally and Patsy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 1, 2007! WOW! Can you imagine being married for 60 years? What an amazing couple! The are something else. It is always a joy to be in their home. I have always felt as though I were one of their very own grandkids. Patsy has this amazing dry wit about her. I am just so touched how their family is large and they all still live so close. Patsy and Wally literally live just a few streets over from Laura and Virgil and they are old a few streets over from Teresa and Stephen. They all come together to eat and fellowship, play guitar and games and laugh. Its just so fun. The one thing I do regret about the weekend is that I did not get a bit of the Red El Comino birthday cake! I just hop we at least got a picture...
